Mt. Lassen Seafood Processors is both a seafood processing plant and an on-line seafood retail store.  It was established in 2020 by Phil Mackey and daughter Katie Mackey Harris.  MLSP serves two primary objectives: to process and distribute trout and steelhead for Mt. Lassen Trout Farm and to provide fresh seafood to folks in and around the Red Bluff community. 


The retail side of Mt. Lassen Seafood Processors was developed because Phil and Katie realized the lack of access to fresh seafood in Red Bluff and the surrounding communities.  Mt. Lassen Trout Farms has distributed their nationally recognized trout and steelhead to chefs and other seafood outlets in San Francisco for many years.  By leveraging relationships with current distributors of their product, Phil and Katie are brining fresh seafood to Red Bluff on a weekly basis.   


While developing the brand Phil and Katie wanted to focus on more than just brining seafood to the Red Bluff community.  Their extensive knowledge of the seafood industry has instilled in them a requirement of fresh, sustainable, and whenever possible, locally cultivated products. All products offered at Mt. Lassen Seafood Processors are sourced and vetted for these traits.  They carefully and thoughtfully choose seafood products that are as fresh as possible, are responsibly sourced and whenever available, are a product of the USA.
